Vignette: A Villa Morning

About the vignette
Here is another little mostly raw vignette that I wrote a couple of years ago, in reflection upon a trip I took to Turkey, Greece, and Rome the year before. I visited a little fish market one early morning in Athens; and, when recalling it later, found my memory of it superimposed upon another separate image of an old Italian villa, such as those I saw near Rome on the same trip. I liked the result, and thought I'd sketch it. Thanks for glancing at it!
A Villa Morning
A pale haze of morning mist and chimney-hearth smoke rises lazily up through the brisk sunrise breeze, above the nestled hills green, and lofts about the rust-colored rooftops of the still town square, veiling from the glinting shimmer of daybreak the busy fish market, with its pungent smells of the sea, and crowded calls echoing across the cobblestone street, wet from the crunch of dirty shipping slush and early dew.

One sentence?!? That's all we get? :) It's a pretty epic sentence though. I love early morning imagery. Nicely done.
